Hello Everybody,

I just discovered this wonderful resource on the HIT field.

I am currently a Support Analyst and have had many years of IT experience. I am looking for some advice on how to break into the Health Care IT field.  What are the certifications/training that the health care industry requires for IT professionals?

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Holger

Honestly, people in the HIT field aren't all that excited about certs.  Tell me what type of apps you have worked with as a support analyst, and I can give you a better angle.

Rilescat,
I have supported in-house developed and vendor purchased CRM sales applications and SAP order entry applications.  I have also done database administration related to these apps.

Thanks for your help!
