Projects cover a wide range of research and technical assistance issues related to health IT adoption and implementation, practice transformation, patient-centered technologies and understanding and measuring meaningful use criteria. This individual will work with State Health IT leaders on privacy issues related to interstate health information exchange, develop technical assistance to State Medicaid and CHIP agencies to implement health IT and HIE, develop clinical decision support tools, patient-provider engagement, use of social media and mobile technologies.This position can be based out of Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Waltham, MA or Research Triangle Park. Responsibilities:Candidates must be prepared to lead small to mid-size research or technical assistance projects or tasks on large projects related to an area of Health IT or HIE. Candidates will be expected to lead and participate in proposal development and business development opportunities in the Health IT area including the design and development of projects related to health IT (EHR, PHR, CDS, CPOE, e-prescribing, etc) or electronic health information exchange (HIE). Knowledge and understanding of the Federal health IT policy environment, specifically related to meaningful use and or privacy and security regulations governing health information is also helpful. Strong writing and project management skills are critical. Thorough knowledge and use of various research methods are important. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential.
