Your question is very true I also don't know about this but I search on net to get know about it. There is free EMR
 services are available on net.

Good references but I think the HIMSS Analytics reference made sense at the time but a little outdated. It was published in 2006.  The softwareadvice link is much more accurate. Here is a link straight from the feds and seems to be the authority on defining the terminology.
