While on the subject of Imprivata, they have just released the next generation of their SSO (Single Sign On) software. SSO is a very important consideration for your EMR environments. SSO can be critical to provider efficiency and adoption.
“Imprivata OneSign has grown to the point that our users see it as another service we offer to make their lives easier,” said Jack Thompson, senior customer support tech, Southwest Washington Medical Center. “When your product is able to provide security and productivity at the same time, you’re doing something right.”
Imprivata has introduced some new features in OneSign that make it a very interesting application to evaluate. Their “Automatic Desktop Locking” system is a very interesting item. RFID vendors have been touting functions like this for products like Xyloc and “Tap and Go”, but each have had little nuances that have been difficult in clinical environments. I am looking forward to seeing if Imprivata has conquered the challenges.
