I have decided it is time to lose some weight. After the last few months of seeing my fat face on TV (and learning more about the risks) I have decided that I need to put time and effort into becoming more healthy. With this goal in mind, I thought about how I can engage in healthy behavior. One thought that came to mind was how could I leverage the social media community towards my purpose. I sent out a few surveys and opened a submission on HealthTechnica to gather some ideas. Some great ideas came in.
One of the ideas that was submitted to me was for the WiThings web enabled scale. After some investigation, I really liked the concept of this web enabled scale. Thus I purchased one from ThinkGeek.com.
With the scale purchased, I needed to have a personal kickoff. The following video is my personal kickoff.
Next comes the social media. I am asking that the community watches my progress (via these widgets), and give me constant feedback.
