In February, 2010, executives from healthcare organizations in the U.S. participated in a study conducted by healthcare management consulting firm Beacon Partners for the purpose of taking the pulse on where hospitals are today in adopting EHRs. For the last several years most hospital leaders have been trying to better understand this complex landscape that requires changing well-ingrained processes, technologies and habits of its workforce —- all in an effort to improve patient healthcare, the U.S. healthcare system, and lay the foundation of modern healthcare for decades to come.
This study shows that most hospitals are well on their way to implementing some form of EHR solution. Most hospitals are reviewing or have completed the review stage of implementing the new technologies. And because there are so many options, finding the best solution can be trying at best. Two-thirds of the executives stated that they prefer and desire an integrated enterprise system. Tune in to find out more.
