This week’s Health Connections (on PBS affiliate KSMQ) is a little bit different than our usual format. We connected a few national leaders in the Health Care Social Media world via a webcast. The webcast is RAW and UNCUT. There are some sound and video difficulties throughout the discussions, but if you pay attention to the content, you will find a very good conversation.
Joining this discussion about Social Media in health care were Ms. Karen Rocks, Principal Consultant of Sparkfire Marketing and joining from Chicago Illinois, Mr. Ed Bennett is the director of Web Strategy at the University of Maryland Medical Center and he is speaking with us from downtown Baltimore Maryland. From San Diego California, Gregg Masters, blogger, and consultant, and founder of www.preferredhospitals.com, and e-patient Dave Cancer Survivor, blogger, and co-chairman for the society of participatory medicine.
Part 2
I very much thank Karen Rocks, Ed Bennett, Gregg Masters, and E-Patient Dave for taking part in this conversation!!!

Hey Shawn:
Well, copy that in the diet thing…..still not getting into the water as often as I need to burn those excessive carbs. May be a candidate for Jen McCabbe’s #getupandmove deal.
Cool raw footage and live demonstration of social media, warts and all. Am open to a re-do/scrub if it works for you, and the group. Would love to do a deeper dive on ACOs and how the dots connect to reform, health2.0 and the evolving e-patient narrative. The Mayo v. McAllen question posed by Atul Gawande last summer is context few members of the public really get.
