Microsoft’s acquisition of Sentillion, the front runner in Single Sign On products in the health care market, just adds another log to the fire of the largest IT organizations.
It is very clear that Microsoft, Cisco, HP, IBM, Google, and Dell have all decided that the health care market is ripe for takeover. The big boys of IT have been announcing all sorts of new EHR and PHR initiatives as well as buying large partnerships (or sometimes just buying) with very large health care business. Perot Systems, McKesson, Meditech, Cerner, and many others have all felt some direct influence from the big boys of IT.
