In some ways, CAKE supersedes Integrating Healthcare Enterprise (IHE). With the Allscripts CAKE Network, physicians have the ability to update patient information into the electronic patient record. In addition, patient records can be sent directly to the ER from the Apple iPhone™, Blackberry®, or Windows Mobile®. The mobile devices respond to voice commands using UAI, a command language used to talk to mobile devices.
