<description>If you want more information regarding security &amp; privacy compliance issues, sign up for a FREE HITECH/HIPAA Compliance Newsletter at http://www.digitalbusinesslawgroup.com/dblg-hitech-hipaa-nl.html

Or, just read the online version of the guide with links to the HITECH Act&#039;s regulations at http://www.hipaasurvivalguide.com/hitech-act.html

My husband and I decided to publish a guide for heathcare professionals that helps them understand the implications of the migration to electronic records and HIPAA’s privacy and security rules.

We chose to write about these rules from a practical perspective because the push for electronic health records (EHRs) will shine a new light on HIPAA compliance. This effort began as a tool for our own use and we subsequently decided that the community at large might benefit as well.</description>
