Twitter has become the fastest growing social media system on the Internet for the last few months. The problem is, if you are new to Twitter, how do you find dependable and intelligent sources? I have been conversing on Twitter for the last several months and have found some nuggets of knowledge for those folks interested in finding Health Information Technology Tweeps (Twitter People/Peers):
First, don’t get sucked in by names. Anyone can name themselves “Dr” whatever the hell on twitter. No validation is necessary to have a name. With this issue at mind, here are some excellent sites to get connected to real physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and HIT folks via Twitter:

What do you do once you find some Tweeps?? FOLLOW them… easy enough. How do you talk with them? Get yourself TweetDeck. The web interface of Twitter is rediculously useless. Without TweetDeck, there would be no Twitter.
then what? Watch…listen…read…type….find more…. we are out there…everywhere….
