Day 1 – Saturday impressions:
- Registration was quick and easy
- Facility is nice, but parking in Chicago is a pain and expensive
- Once in the building arrival registration was quick and easy
- Lines moved swiftly
- None of the vendor areas are open yet
- Navigation systems were spread around. Easily found where we were going via the automatically printed maps
- No Ninjas or Zombies attacked… always a plus
- Classrooms were easy to find and well laid out
- Free Wireless available, but limited access to power for devices
- handouts were up to date
- speakers very solid * Kim Brant set herself apart in the Project Management classes
- Many HIMSS attendees Tweeting about classes and facilities
Remember Day 1 is a short day and most people don’t actually arrive until Day 2. I should have a better review for Day 2+
